Our Covid Safety & Seating

As we prepare for our reopening, please note that we are working hard with all promoters to make sure all shows adhere to the correct safety measures and that you have the best time possible! 

It is likely that non-distant shows will start to be introduced in latter half of 2021. The layouts of these shows are based on the government guidelines and the dates given for the reopening of live entertainment without distancing. If circumstances change, we have plans in place to adhere to any degree of covid safety levels to make sure you feel 100% safe when you visit.

When further information is added, we will update this page and notify any ticket holders accordingly.

As we are a Theatre a substantial meal isn’t required for us to serve alcohol as we will be under 50% our capacity with physical distancing measures in place 👊
Following guidelines The Clapham Grand will be allowed to have performances after 10pm if they start before 10pm, as long as our bars stop serving at 10pm ⏰

CLOAKROOM
Unfortunately, due to the nature of Covid compliance, we are unable to operate a cloakroom, so you will be required to keep your coats and bags on you. Please do not bring anything larger than a rucksack with you and if this is unavoidable, please contact the venue on either 020 7223 6523 or info@claphamgrand.com

FOOD & DRINK
We have a full drinks menu available with table service alongside snacks (mmm, Monster Munch!) and hot food (Nachos, Hot Dogs and Vegan Options). All can be ordered from your seat via our app. More details can be found HERE

QUEING & SECURITY MEASURES
We have implemented new security measures in order to keep you as safe as possible when visiting. Please keep two metres apart from others when queuing (we have stickers on the floor to help). Masks must be worn when entering and travelling around the building but you can take them off when sat in your seat. Temperature checks are issued upon entry. We also ask that you travel light then visiting us and you arrive as close to doors opening as possible, so we can get you all in in time for the show!
Due to distancing our toilets will have a limited capacity, so please bear with us, especially in the interval, if there is a queue. 

COVID CANCELLATIONS – BUY WITH CONFIDENCE
In the event of a show cancellation due to Covid restrictions, we will reschedule the event and transfer your tickets over. If we cannot reschedule the show or you cannot make the new date, we will give a full refund, minus the booking fee.

A Pair Of Seats
Includes two tickets, giving entry for two people, sat next to each other on cushioned chairs on the ground floor of the venue.
You will automatically be allocated best available seats within this section of the venue.
Please arrive no later than 30 minutes after doors open to give us time to get you seated before the show.
Please all arrive together in your group with your tickets activated and ready for scanning.
Includes £1 restoration levy.
 
A Table Of Four
Four tickets sat together at a table on the ground floor of the venue.
You will automatically be allocated best available seats within this section of the venue.
Please arrive no later than 30 minutes after doors open to give us time to get you seated before the show.
Please all arrive together in your group with your tickets activated and ready for scanning.
We will hold lead ticketholder contact details for 21 days as part of NHS Track & Trace.

A Royal Box
Four or Three tickets sat together in your own private box overlooking the stage.
You will be automatically allocated the best available box.
Please arrive no later than 30 minutes after doors open to give us time to get you seated before the show.

You will automatically be allocated best available seats within this section of the venue.

A Booth For Two
Includes two tickets sat next to each other in a partitioned booth on the  the circle.
You will automatically be allocated best available seats within this section of the venue.
Please arrive no later than 30 minutes after doors open to give us time to get you seated before the show.

Upper circle tickets are available in quantities of up to 4 per order. A ticket guarantees you an unreserved seat.
Please arrive with your group to ensure you can be sat together.
Our upper circle is on the 5th floor of the venue, with toilet access on the fourth floor
Please arrive no later than 30 minutes after doors open to give us time to get you seated before the show.

Thank all for your support since we closed in March. The love & donations you’ve given us has not only been amazing but without it we wouldn’t have made it this far. We have just received further great news that we have been incredibly fortunate to be given an emergency grant by The Arts Council, which has given us some breathing space for another 6 weeks to be able to plan how we reopen and continue to look and apply for further funding and support. We’d like to take this moment to thank everyone at The Arts Council, The DCMS, The Music Venue’s Trust and the NTIA for all their support and assistance to us and all the venues and those effected in our industry to help us through this.
 
REOPENING PLANS
We realise that with physical distancing in place we will be trading at 75% under our usual capacity, which means we risk making a loss to open, but whilst we are still paying rent it’s a much more positive thing for us to do than remain closed. We want to be able to try and get our business back up and running so we can bring our staff back to work before the furlough scheme ends. We also want to being our amazing team of freelance staff & performers back to do what they love, which is creating shows, for you our incredible audience to comeback to – safely.
