In the event of a show cancellation due to Covid restrictions we will reschedule the event and transfer your tickets over. If we can’t reschedule the show, or you can’t make the rescheduled date, we will give a full refund minus the booking fee.
All ticket updates are communicated to you through your ticket provider, by us.
Any further questions or queries, please contact your ticket provider.
The Clapham Grand has been providing entertainment for 120 years, and is one of the UK’s oldest remaining Variety Halls. After a successful Crowdfunder campaign to prevent permanent closure during Covid-19 we are beginning to open with a run of physically distanced events, which whilst operating at a loss gives as the chance to bring our staff back to work, rebuild out business model and most of all have you back to be entertained here again.
During this period of loss making trading during & immediately after Covid-19 we are implementing a £1 restoration fee on each ticket, which goes towards helping us maintain our beautiful venue.
We are always looking for excellent people to work with us, either on the bar and operational side or in marketing, promotions and production.
Please email allywolf@claphamgrand.com with a CV and brief covering letter explaining why you want to join our team. No experience necessary, all we ask is a passion for hospitality, nightlife, entertainment and being an all round good egg.
Our dress code is fashionably comfortable, so smart trainers are allowed as long as they’re not muddy from running round the football pitch all day!
Unfortunately we do not allow tracksuit bottoms, hoodies, flip flops or hats (apart from bowler, top hats or the odd fez) or any Hen or stag paraphernalia.
Tailored shorts are allowed like a jean or a nice chino, but we do not allow sports shorts.
Please call the venue on 020 7223 6523 from 10am – 6pm, Monday – Friday or e-mail info@claphamgrand.com with a description of your item, when you left it at the venue and/or your cloakroom ticket number.
We keep all lost property for 3 weeks, before donating it to Wandsworth Oasis, a local charity that raises money for HIV support and prevention projects in SW London through its 9 charity shops and community events.
Unless specified on an event listing, The Clapham Grand is an 18+ venue.
We will always specify on the event’s listing when this is not the case.
Ticket holders will not be admitted to an event or receive a refund if unable to present valid identification showing they are over the required age limit for the show they are attending.
Only a current passport, driving license, citizen card or home office approved proof of age card are accepted as valid forms of ID. Student cards are not accepted. If you are under 25 you will be asked for a second form of ID with your name on it, to confirm the photographic ID belongs to you.
For all Private Hire enquires, please click HERE to find all relevant rates and contact information.
Please note: Due to Covid compliance guidelines, our cloakroom is currently not in operation.
The cloakroom is £2 per item.
The Clapham Grand does not accept or take responsibility for items of value stored within your garments or bags deposited in the cloakroom, please keep valuable items on you.
Items cannot be returned without producing a valid ticket. If you think you are likely to lose your ticket, please take a picture of it. If you lose your ticket we might release your items at the end of the night, at the discretion of the management on the basis you know your items well enough to adequately describe them.
If for any reason you have a ticket but we are unable to return an item left in the cloakroom, compensation is limited to a maximum of £50.00.
Although we do our very best to return left items, our responsibility ceases at the end of the night, on the day of your visit. We keep all lost property for 3 weeks, before donating it to Wandsworth Oasis, a local charity that raises money for HIV support and prevention projects in SW London through its 9 charity shops and community events.
For live shows and early evening events, please check the specific event listing
We are normally open everyday from 7pm till 3am
Club nights run from 10:30pm – 3am, every Friday & Saturday
Please note during COVID-19 restrictions, our bars must close at 10pm. As we are licensed as an entertainment venue, we can continue past 10pm in Tier Two, as long as the show in question started beforehand.
Unfortunately when they built the venue in 1900, a car park wasn’t top of the priority list, and we advise everyone to use public transport where possible.
The area around The Grand is residential parking only. There is a secure car park underneath Clapham Junction station, where you can pay to park using the website JustPark.com which is the best value in the local area.
Entry to the venue will be denied for anyone found parking on Severus Road, Eckstein Road and Comyn Road out of respect for our neighbours.
We allow small consumer-type cameras into The Grand, but not professional SLR-type ones. Unfortunately we cannot issue photopasses or grant access to the photopit as this is done directly by the promoter for each event.
Depending on the show, they may be a full photography/filming ban inside the venue, during the performance.
