FAQs

  • Dress Code

Our dress code is fashionably comfortable, so trainers are allowed as long as they’re not muddy from running round the football pitch all day!

  • Lost Property

Please call the venue on 020 7223 6523 from 10am – 6pm, Monday – Friday or e-mail info@claphamgrand.com with a description of your item. We keep all lost property for 4 weeks, before donating it to a local charity shop.

  • Age Restrictions

Unless specified on an event’s listing, The Grand is an 18+ venue.

We will always specify on the event’s listing when this is not the case.

Ticket-holders will not be admitted to the event or receive a refund if unable to present valid identification indicating they are over the required age limit for the show they are attending.

Only current passport, driving licence or PASS identification cards are accepted as valid forms of ID. Student cards are not accepted.

  • ID system

We operate a SCAN NET ID system, in conjunction with the Metropolitan Police. At any event you may be asked to produce a form of valid photo ID as a condition of entry. Student cards are not accepted. We accept in date passports, driving licenses or Home Office-approved proof of age cards.

If you have recently turned 18, you may be asked for a second form of ID with your name on, to confirm the photographic ID belongs to you.

Photos from the weekend usually go up on a Tuesday morning, and e-mails sent later that day with links to the galleries if you left your e-mail with the photobooth assistant.

  • Disabled Bookings & Ticketing

If you have accessibility requirements and wish to attend an event, first buy a ticket through any of our ticketing channels, then contact info@claphamgrand.com, prior to the show, with your name and access needs.

If the event is sold out we cannot sell extra tickets.

People with accessibility requirements may need to have someone with them. We offer disabled guests a complimentary ticket for personal assistants. This arrangement is made through the venue and not the ticketing agencies, please contact us at info@claphamgrand.com after purchasing your general admission ticket, with the name of your assistant, and we will put them on the guest list.

Please note, this excludes meet and greets or VIP packages.

  • Accessibility

There is level access into the venue via the doors on the right hand side as you look at the building.

People with disabilities are offered priority entry (queue jumping!) and are asked to arrive 15 minutes before the doors open for a show, so that you have time to find a suitable space inside the venue.

The accessible viewing area is located on the ground floor, between the main bar area and the dancefloor. Once inside, there are no steps and easy access to two bars and both male and female toilets. There are great sight lines to the stage.

However, please note there is no level access to all areas of the venue, The Grand is an old Victorian Theatre (no lifts) and there is no access to the main dance floor for wheelchairs, or the balcony/circle area.

Our toilet cubicles are wide enough to accommodate a standard sized manual wheel chair, with room to manoeuvre. There is step free access to both male and female toilets. If you have a larger motorised chair, please contact the venue directly and we will provide as much information as possible to help you make an informed decision before attending the venue.

The smoking area is located at the front of our venue. If a person using a wheelchair wants to go outside to smoke, just speak to a member of staff in the reception area, and they will assist you.

  • Medicines

If you need to bring any medicines, food or drink to manage a medical condition, or medical equipment you are welcome to do so. We don’t have any medical equipment at the venue. Please inform the manager on duty when you arrive before going through search.
